more kitty stuffs

Brie's surgery was successful, she had a slight post operative cold and one eye is more dilated than the other because of the anesthetic but she was cheerful, greedy with treats, snuggly and playful yesterday when I did the kitten trailer.
Sadly for you and for my future recall, I took no photos as I was too busy attending to her and her sisters as well as scrubbing the walls in their little room as it hasn't been done in who knows how long.

I did get a few while I was cleaning up the geriatric area of the kitten trailer.

Velcro has access to the window ledge and loves sitting there looking out in the sun.
His fur is growing back and it's so soft I've suggested we change his name to Velvet.
He is so lovely and not demanding at all, he mostly goes about his business of sitting in the sun alternating with food and water breaks.
Though if you cross paths with him he will look up at you with those eyes that force me to stop everything and snuggle with him.

This is Ava our newest oldster in this area, I only met her last week so I don't really know her well yet. She seems sweet, loves to be brushed and was up for a little play when I offered a toy mouse to her.
She's only recently been let out of her cage to hang out with Cream Puff and Velcro our other two oldies.

Was trying to get a better picture of Ava when Velcro decided picture time was over and it was snuggle time. ;)

Ava did NOT like Velcro being that close to her and told him so very clearly.
He ignored her, got pets from me and she had something to eat after this picture was taken.

Cream Puff just sat and watched it all from her throne of pillows.
When you clean her sleeping area she makes a big fuss about you doing it and will follow your every move making mews at you. Some times mid clean she will pee on the floor or take a dump right where her bed is. Depending on what stage you are at it could be a new clean bed or freshly mopped floor she dumps on.
I just clean up after her make her a cozy new bed and carry on.
She doesn't want to be picked up by me unless I'm picking up another cat and will always hobble across the floor for treats.
It's amazing how fast she can move considering how badly her back leg don't function so well because of arthritis.
When she takes a dump it's worth cleaning it up for the entertainment value of watching her propel herself off of it afterwards. She's had far too many bum washings and trims in that area and her tail because of being messy.
She's smart and has figured out a way not to get messy.
I should really try and get a video of that one day.

After the kitten trailer I did the new aids trailer where Benji lives.
I did not get any pictures of the cat treat, loving orgy we had because my camera batteries died.
When I initially went in there all the kitties except Benji greeted me as he was snoozing deeply.
I passed out crunchy treats then prepared a dish of special mushy stuff I'd brought him from home.
I woke him up with a big hug and snug then shoved the food in front of his face.
He was delighted and the snuffly, purring, chowing down noises he made were brilliant.
Spent a lot of time in there extra cleaning and extra loving yesterday.
He probably doesn't know why I'm being extra nice to him and it doesn't matter, he deserves it either way.

  • More feral kittens

Silly feral kittens are silly and feral. The way I feel about kittens is weird, I like them and all but I honestly prefer the relationship one…

  • Feral Kittens & Mama Marissa

The other day I took a video of three of the cages I go into regularly that have kitties in them that will be there for a while. They aren't sick,…

  • Yesterday morning

This is how I start most of my Thursday mornings in the new aids trailer.
